I offer private tailored yoga classes in your home or a local studio. I bring with me, in my bag of tricks, a great love of yoga, a deep understanding and constant study of yoga's prinicipals, spirituality, alignment principles, and anatomy.   We will explore your practice, your edge, tailoring the class not only to your body's needs, but also to the needs of the day, the season, the life experience s you are dealing with.  I will also bring all the things we need, from mats, to props to music.  Or I can guide you in the purchase of these to promote a good habit!


Yoga is a wonderdul life long practice that helps you achieve balance, harmony and spiritual connection in  your life, as well as supple flexibility in your body.

Class Descriptions:

Hatha classes help us find balance in our bodies through the use of asana, pranayama, and meditation. Hatha is literally translated as sun (ha) and moon (tha) and represents the balance of these energies, much like yin and yang, male and female, strength and surrender. This class uses grounding techniques and breathwork to firmly anchor us in our bodies, and the present moment. The asana practice offers different levels of difficulty to meet the needs of all levels and is followed with a lovely restorative savasana.
 
Gentle yoga-This class will be a slow flow, using our breath and holding gentle postures to allow the body to relax, release and heal.  As we hold the postures we naturally let the fascia and muscle release long held tensions, physical and emotional stresses.  We will also use twists and breathwork where appropriate to aid in our healing, and growth. 
 
Therapeutic yoga will be classes geared towards beginners, pregnant women in their second and third trimester of pregnancy and those healing from illness or surgery with their doctor's permission.  We will tailor the class to the needs of the students, and offer adjustments and props.  The class will end with hands on healing during savasana.

Morning Meditative Flow classes are a slowerd paced class that starts with a grounding meditation, some chanting to open up the vocal chords, and challenging poses held as we build up to a goal pose.

Vinyasa classes are more fast paced, movement is linked wih breath in flowing sequences

Mix 1 and 2 classes are vinyasa based, and aim to deepen your practice to the next level...mix 1 being a bit easier than mix 2!

Prenatal classes are aimed at mom's throughout their pregnancy with their Dr.s approval.  These classes will help you connect to your baby, will help you get you strong for  your labor and delivery, helping to open you up and giving you tools to help relax when you need to.  After your baby is here, check out Fair Haven Yoga's mom and me classes-too much fun and love to put into words.

Hippie Flow This class will focus on hip openers, and will always have a great soundtrack from the era of peace and love.  Lots of releases and fun gauranteed.


All of the classes will help us find our centers, help us breath more fully and aim to help us live in the moment, making life a more joyfull experience.
